Market Stalkers is run by Series 3 qualified futures traders and the software developers who build the tools the methodology runs on. We teach the way we trade.

Origin

Why we built this.

Deeyana founded Market Stalkers because the gap between what serious traders actually do and what is taught in retail trading courses had become absurd. There was no shortage of trading content. There was a near-total shortage of documented, accredited frameworks an adult could run on their own without becoming dependent on someone else's daily calls.

Some sections expanded when students kept asking the same questions. CPD accreditation requires an annual curriculum review to keep content up to date. There have been no major rewrites: the framework we built in 2018 is the framework we teach today.

The team

Who teaches and who builds.

In 2015, Blahtech acquired Market Stalkers, joining forces to bring institutional-grade trading tools to independent traders. Market Stalkers then built out the educational content with the same goal in mind. Deeyana teaches and coaches. James leads Blahtech on the tech side: trading tools and indicators.

Deeyana Angelo

Deeyana founded Market Stalkers. She is the face and the brain behind the method.

  • Series 3 qualified. Previously held the CISI Investment Advice Diploma (IAD)
  • Combines algorithmic trading with discretionary execution
  • High-level session musician before her finance career
  • Started trading in 2007. Institutional market-making in Chicago and London, then multiple brick-and-mortar prop firms
  • Full-time prop trader from 2013. Started online prop in 2015 while continuing at brick-and-mortar firms until COVID in 2020, when she shifted focus to online prop and her own personal accounts
  • Three years as a TopstepTV contributor. Metal Markets, her own segment: one of only four traders worldwide with a dedicated show on TopstepTV
  • Market Stalkers YouTube channel (20k subscribers): niche order flow education in an engaging format

James Cater

James is CTO and founder of Blahtech, the company behind Market Stalkers. He is the architect behind the tools and indicators members trade with.

  • Founded Blahtech, a financial software consultancy specialising in trader-facing tools
  • Main software architect behind the Blahtech trading tools and Analyst Pack
  • Leads Blahtech engineering: indicators, automation, and trading-tool infrastructure
  • Former technical architect and lead developer at Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse, and ABN AMRO
  • Built multi-tier global systems across equities, market risk, and credit risk in front- and back-office roles
  • One of the lead developers on the Atlas trading platform at Barclays
  • Currently involved with Orchid, a private finance-native LLM platform for institutional investors
